Around the web: March 16th, 2012

Join me as I go around the web in search of cool new recipes, tips and more in the world of food!

• King Arthur Flour – I love searching this site’s archives and recipe listings – this “Blitz Bread: No-Fuss Focaccia” is on my baking list for the year!
• Wilde in the Kitchen – Vicki’s doing a “Why Bother?” Challenge in 2012, and the next one on the list is yogurt…I’m not a huge fan of the stuff, but her math makes a whole lot of sense for those who are!
• Boulder Locavore – another recently-discovered website I’m liking, and this week the instructions for lemon-infused vodka were posted…I know, not baking, but have a martini while waiting for things to bake! (There’s also instructions for apple-infused vodka on the sidebar).
• Spicie Foodie – continuing on with new blogs, this one has some great photos and great tips on taking them – I enjoyed this article, “Sunday Snapshots: Making Time for Snapshots” from February 26th.
• The Purple Spoon – another new blog to me, "Bakery Style Chocolate Chip Muffins"…’nuff said.

I love this blog for many reasons: great recipes, great photos and – most importantly – Vicki’s originally from Buffalo! I knew something was up when I saw a popular post on her sidebar with the headline “Buffalo Sponge Candy” :)

Here are a few of my other favorite posts from Wilde in the Kitchen:

• “A Culinary Journey Through Europe” – someday …maybe…
• “Why Bother? 2012 – Soft Pretzels” – I WILL make homemade soft pretzels this year! (also, some great reminiscing about the Buffalo Bills’ heyday)
• “Rosemary Foccacia” – looks divine!
• “English Muffins” – something else I’d like to try this year.
